Valentine’s Day Favorites

Y’all, I love Valentine’s Day. I know some people don’t. The “greeting card holiday.”

I disagree. It’s the day of love. And it’s my favorite. This may or may not have anything to do with anything, but my birthday is Valentine’s Day, sooo get on board.

Valentine’s Day being my birthday always puts me in a weird position where I (selfishly) don’t ever really do anything for anyone else. Like my poor husband. It’s switching a little bit with kids, though, and I’m excited to start some sweet Valentine’s Day traditions with them. In that spirit, I wanted to share with you just a few of my favorite V-Day favorites this year!

(A forewarning, lots of dinosaurs. My son is obsessed with dinosaurs, so I really had no option. Also, some links may be affiliate links. You can read my full disclosure about those here.)

First up, these ADORABLE dino Valentine’s cards! I got these off of Amazon, and they’ll go out to all the sweet kids in Oliver’s preschool class.

The cards are just so cute. It came with 36 of them, and then there are two teacher cards. The ones I got for Oliver are currently unavailable, but you can get similar ones here for your dino lover!

I also picked up those heart shaped chocolates for Oliver- they were $1 at Walmart, and it says “Raptor Round Your Finger.” Get it!? How in the world do you resist that for $1?!

You don’t, clearly.

Next up- the most perfect Valentine’s Day shirt for Oliver (and any dinosaur loving toddler) that ever did exist. Of course this came from Target, and you can get it here! This is the cutest little shirt- he actually wore it to his preschool’s Valentine’s Day performance the other night, and he just looked like such a little boy! (Insert all the heart eye emoji’s here!)

The answer is no.

This book was too cute to pass up! It came with 8 valentine’s cards, a poster, and lots of stickers, so we definitely got our $7 worth! You can grab it here.

And because it’s Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t end this post without sharing the perfect V-Day date night dress with y’all!

valentine's day outfit ideaSo I know red and pink are the traditional colors, but can we please just consider allowing salmon into this mix?? Cause I’m obsessed with this dress from Pink Blush.

I loved dressing this up a little with a gold sparkly belt and some statement animal print heels, and it’s the perfect date night dress with my hubby! My favorite trendy online boutique knocked it completely out of the park with this one!

And, as previously mentioned, I’ve never actually done anything for Dan on Valentine’s Day. I’m hoping to remedy that this year, but since he might actually read this post, I can’t exactly give away what I’m going to do. (9.5/10 chance it’s going to be a bottle of whiskey with a bow attached.)

So lemme know- what are your Valentine’s Day traditions with your fam?? And give me some ideas for my hubby! He’ll appreciate it! 🙂

Have a phenomenal day!
