Mama’s Monday Coffee Break Weekend Recap

Happy Monday, y’all!

As with all weekends, I feel like this one just went too fast. I love October a lot, but GOSH is it a busy month! So many good things, though, so this is not a complaint.

The next three weeks are also incredibly busy, but it’s full of friends and traveling and my first mini-photo sessions (stay tuned on this, and if you’re in Charlotte and want in on this- message me!). And then my first little niece is due and then one of my best friend’s baby is due and then THANKSGIVING. This year is legit flying by.

But I really loved doing this Mama’s Coffee Break post before, as well as my Monday Recap post. So I thought I’d marry the two and have a Mama’s Monday Coffee Break Recap post. Cause I can.

Weekend Recap
  • Moooore baby food! Zoey is turning out to be my little foodie, and she’s going through food so fast! I’m making my own this time around and with how much she eats, I know it’s saving me so much money! I made her peas and y’all, no one likes peas. Except for Zoey. Sweet potatoes remain the favorite, though.Β Mama's Monday Coffee Break
  • We went to a wedding Saturday night! This was so fun because we don’t have too many friends getting married anymore, and I LOVE weddings! It’s always so so special to see two people joining their lives and committing to each other. It also always makes me think back to my own wedding day over 6 years ago now. I think about the vows I made to Dan on that day, and how I would make them to him all over again. Love that man. Also- we thoroughly enjoyed a baby-free night. We don’t get them often so alllll the praise hands for that!Mama's Monday Coffee Break
  • One of my closest friends is having her sweet little girl in about a month (!!!), so we had a small shower for her on Sunday. Dan took the kids, so I got anoooother few hours without kids, and lemme say- I’m feeling very refreshed to head into a whole week with them! But we had such a great time talking and eating donuts (see next point) and discussing how her little girl and Zoey are going to be BFF’s. They don’t really have a choice.
  • DONUTS. Everyone loves donuts (except for my mother, and yes, it has made me question my parentage). Charlotte has some phenomenal donut places, and one of the most amazing? Your Mom’s Donuts. This place, y’all…I don’t have words. It’s like a spiritual experience (sorry, Jesus, if that’s a little sacrilegious). Their donuts are so soft and fluffy, and they have the most unique but amazing flavors ever. If you live in Charlotte, GO. If you don’t live in Charlotte, come visit and go. It’s not super close to me so I don’t get there often, but it was a must as my friend who’s having the baby loves donuts more than I do.Β Β Mama's Monday Coffee BreakΒ

Any weekend spent with some kid-free time that includes a wedding, baby shower, and donuts is a weekend well spent, if you ask me. I’m feeling incredibly re-energized and ready to take on this week!

How about y’all, how did you spend your weekend? What are you looking forward to this week?

Have a phenomenal day!

I am so glad Zoey is a foodie ❀ And as much as I hate doughnuts, your dad LOVES them, so no need to question your parentage πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
