Favorite Family Recipes

Oh, dinner. I know this may sound dramatic, but some days (most days), this is the most stressful part of my day. It’s right during witching hour (all my parent friends, you know what I’m talking about!), and it’s a constant struggle to find something even my picky toddler will eat! (I used to make him a separate dinner- not my best move, but I want him to actually eat!)

In my pre-parent-of-two-life I was a restaurant manager, which meant I cooked maaaybe two nights a week. Sometimes. I had to start getting creative and thinking of some new recipes when I started staying home. More specifically, I needed quick, easy, and affordable recipes that my whole family could eat, AND bonus if they provided leftovers for lunches.

I definitely have a few staple favorites, and I wanted to share them here in case you were ever in need of some go-to recipes!

Some disclaimers-

I’m not super health conscious. We try not to eat terrible, but we eat carbs, sugar is fine, and cheese is paramount. I try to avoid buying processed food as much as possible, so I feel good that my family is (generally) eating real ingredients. I count that as healthy.

I’ve included two recipes of mine, but the majority are not. I can follow a recipe for sure, but I’m not the most creative in the kitchen without some direction.

A few of these took me some time to get down. Once I made them 2-3 times, however, I can now make them with my eyes closed in like, 5 minutes. Also, you may notice, we make a lot of meals with chicken.

So hope you like some (or all, really) of these recipes!
